Take a trip to eBay UK and you will find
hundreds 2GB Sony MemorySticks for sale looking just like the one pictured
above. Much discussion has ensued with regard to the authenticity of these
products and many people have provided methods to identify which cards are fake
and which are genuine. Although it's true that different versions have been
produced with varying degrees of quality and expertise the undeniable fact of
the matter is that they are all copies.

was available at £150. Dropping in price every day since, the same product can
be bought on eBay today for around £40.
By demanding a genuine product but only being prepared to pay the price of the
copies the UK market has generated countless suppliers offering genuine
merchandise manufactured in China when no such product exists. All Sony
production of memorystick takes place in Japan. If you buy from China they are
copies.
Bringing a new dimension to the market and
certain to be the next major contributor to the memory card game is the soon to
be released 4GB Pro Duo from Sony.
You should have already guessed what will happen next but of
course as soon as Sony begin distribution the copies will hit the market. In
fact all they are waiting for is an example of the packaging before offering the
copies.
Please don't be fooled into believing that genuine Sony
memorystick products are available from any other source in the world apart from
Japan.
